FREEZING WEATHER FUN INSIDE!
Looking for opportunities to have some fun inside with your friends and family during these colder days? Today we explore a few of those opportunities! Do you enjoy playing board games? Then you will enjoy visiting Pop’s Culture Shoppe. During the week they have different clubs that meet to play games together. To find out more about their monthly events you may stop in to the store and pick up a calendar.

Another indoor opportunity to spend this winter is the story hour held at the Green Free Library. (The story hour meets every Wednesday unless schools are closed or they are running a two-hour delay.) Find out more here!

DUNHAM’S CORNER – HALF OF HALF PRICE SALE!
This amazing event first began on Saturday, February 29th, 1991. In recent years the sale has been moved to President’s Day weekend allowing more traveling shoppers to take advantage of this sale as well. And with February 14th being Valentine’s Day it makes the entire event even more exciting.

CHAMBER HIGHLIGHTS – WINTER EVENTS!
Looking for ways to enjoy the winter in Wellsboro and Tioga County? Marsha Chesko, Chamber of Commerce President, reminds us of the many ways of enjoying winter. Skiing, cross country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and snow shoeing – just to name a few. Another favorite event in February is the Waste Management Winter Rally being held this year on Saturday the 21st. (Watch our coverage of last year’s event here!)

Wellsboro Winter Celebration, a new event this year, will be held on Saturday February 28, and March 1st. There will be snow activities and games on the Green for children to enjoy. Inside at the Deane Center from 2:00 to 3:00 there will be a free craft time with the theme from ‘Frozen.’ Following the craft time there will be a sing a long time with the songs from ‘Frozen.’ Then later that evening also at the Deane Center there will be a free performance with the Mansfield Jazz Ensemble at 7:30.

On Sunday, March 1st, there will be a run called the Mt. Tom Challenge which starts at 9:00 that morning. The run will begin at the DCNR Darling Run parking Lot at Ansonia, PA. Also during the Winter Celebration Weekend many shops will have specials and activities as well.

Looking forward some events in March we have the Jazz Festival on the 6th and 7th and the Maple Festival on the 21st and the 22nd.
