Warriors Claim Victory Over Redskins, 55-13
On Friday October 18th, the Canton Warriors destroyed the Sayre Redskins 55-13.
Midway through the first quarter, Bailey Gardener receives the handoff and hits the jets, speeding through the secondary. They faked the PAT, but Sayre was ready. 6-0 Warriors.
The Warriors used the end of the first quarter to make it to their own 7 yard line, then to start the second, Holden Ward hits the outside for the score. Alexis McRoberts kick is good, 13-0.
Next, Ben Fitch in the pocket airing it out to Aydin Holcomb. The kick is good, Canton out way ahead 20-0.
Then Fitch fakes the handoff and dishes the screen pass to Ward, who follows his blockers and burns the secondary. Touchdown Warriors, 27-0.
Then to end the half, with just over 4 minutes another big play. Fitch fires it out to Zach Colton who takes it to the goal line, then Fitch fakes the handoff and hits Holcomb in the opposite corner. The kick is good, Canton dominating the half, 34-0
Fresh out of the locker room, Sayre attempts an onside kick but Micheal Beers fields it and takes it all the way to the 4 yard line. Then Beers receives the inside handoff and rumbles his way through the Redskins. 41-0 Warriors.
In the remaining game time, the Redskins and the Warriors found the end zone two more times, ending the game in the Warriors’ favor, 55-13. The Warriors will be back on the field next Friday as they travel to Troy to compete for the Old Shoe.
