WARRIORS CENTRAL: EAGLE SCOUT PAVILION PROJECT
Being an Eagle Scout is an achievement that is a result of years of dedication, hard work, and commitment. Only a small percentage of Scouts achieve this rank, making this a significant achievement for those Scouts who do earn this rank. Eagle Scouts take leadership roles and develop valuable skills in project management, team coordination, and decision making. In addition, they must complete a substantial service project that benefits their community, instilling a sense of civic responsibility. This project was completed by Robert Pidcoe, his family, and Canton Troop 33.
Canton JR/SR High School Senior, Robert Pidcoe, earned his Eagle Scout by taking the leadership role with the refurbishment of the Canton Pavilion. “The pavilion will give our elementary classes a place to have class outside, and study some of the science topics that are in our environment. It also allows our FFA students a place to work with the elementary students on Conservation Day and other events throughout the school year.” said Mr. Mike Wells, elementary principal.
“The skills and experience that Robert gained becoming an Eagle Scout will have a lasting positive impact on his life and future endeavors. The district is excited to put the Outdoor Education Pavilion into use in the 2024-2025 school year!” shared JR/SR High School Principal, Mr. Donnie Jacopetti. The pavilion was dedicated on September 20, 2024 as a result of the hard work and dedication from Robert. He was meticulous in his work and am extremely proud of Robert for earning the highest rank in the Scouts of America, as well as, and the refinished product..
