Last Thursday, April 16th in the Troy Commons Auditorium, W.R. Croman’s first and second grade classes performed themed musical selections led by music educator Dillan Zellers. The cat-themed first graders performed at 5:30 and the second graders performed “It’s A Hit,” with lines of dialogue and baseball-themed songs. In addition, the first ever Troy second grade percussion group got the chance to show off their rhythmic skills utilizing different types of drums and percussion instruments. The audience was packed with community members eager to support the Troy music department. Zellers was proud of all the hard work his students put into their performance, stating, “These kids have been learning these songs and learning the dances and the percussion ensemble has been meeting all year. They learned so much through it and it’s just an awesome opportunity for them to express themselves and just fall in love with the arts.”
