UPMC Susquehanna: Age Well
UPMC Susquehanna’s first Age Well program in Tioga county is inviting men and women who are over the age of 55 to come to the Penn Wells Hotel on Wednesday, April 10 from 1 – 4 pm.
The keynote speaker for this afternoon program is Susan Russell, Ph.D. Russel, who is an associate professor in the School of Theatre at The Pennsylvania State University, will present “Awake, Aware, and Giving” to encourage you to live your best life. She is a renowned teacher in literature/criticism, musical theatre history, and women in theatre. She has been honored with the Penn State Commission of Women’s Faculty Award; selected as one of the Faces of Penn State, and appointed as Penn State Laureate.
On this broadcast Home Page Vice President, Sara Vogt met with Nancie English, Age Well Senior Coordinator for UPMC Susquehanna to find out the details of the program. Nancie said, ” Age Well is a program designed to keep seniors healthy and well. I always say never use the word older because as we continue to age we are better. I encourage seniors to always live that better life. I am a senior and I want to make sure that the life I am living is the best healthiest life I could lead.”
Age Well encourages seniors to come out to their events and activities for social networking opportunities. At these events, seniors will have up front and personal conversations with the providers.
