Troy Represented At Pennsylvania Farm Show – Including Zach, the Pig!
The 106th Pennsylvania Farm Show was held on Saturday, January 8 through Saturday January 15, 2022 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This event showcases the quality and scale of Pennsylvania’s agricultural industry and is the largest indoor agricultural exposition under one roof in the country. Troy found representation from a number of residents who attended the show.
11th grader and student of Troy Area High School, Sara Reed was crowned in 2021 as the 2021-2022 Pennsylvania Jersey Queen. She represents the jersey cattle breed at events across the state, including the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
Scott Cummings of Cummings Lumber Company and Doug Cummings of Cummings Veneer Products spent Wednesday showcasing the PA hardwood booth.
5th grader Landon Cole also attended the Farm Show to show his pigs, including “Zach,” weighing in at 282lbs.
Troy is proud to be represented by these outstanding individuals who stand amidst an industry of nearly half a million people that contribute $185 billion to Pennsylvania’s economy every year. We look forward to seeing what they show next year!
