On Wednesday, January 7th, the Towanda Lady Black Knights hosted the Troy Lady Trojans on the basketball court. The Lady Trojans dominated the court, bringing home victory on the road, final score 46–18.
The first period was a defensive bout, with Troy leading 3–0 going into the second period.
The Lady Trojans kept up the pressure as Kyah Renzo intercepts the pass for a layup.
Next, Emma Mickey commands the post for two.
Later, Renzo kicks it to the corner to Isabella Renzi for the three.
Towanda responds with their own three. Kennedy Heyer launches the ball over to Payton Perry—swish! By the end of the half, the Lady Trojans were way ahead, 19–6.
Third quarter. Raelyn Woodward for a wide open three.
Next, Lady Black Knight Karis Flynn—nothing but net.
Then, a major steal from Renzo for two.
After that, Renzi, wide open on the outside, slams in another three. By the end of the third, Troy was up 35–11.
A few minutes into the final period, Renzi keeps up the pressure and drains yet another 3. To end the game out on top, Troy 46, Towanda 18.
The Troy Lady Trojans will be back on the court hosting the Athens Lady Wildcats on Friday at 7:30. The Lady Black Knights will also be back on the court Friday at 7:30 as they travel to Wellsboro.
