On Wednesday, September 24, the Troy Trojan Marching Band and Music Boosters hosted the 2025 Cavalcade of Bands in Alparon Park in Troy. The Bradford-Sullivan Cavalcade of Bands is presented each year by the Bradford-Sullivan County Music Educators Association, with this year being the 49th annual event; the cavalcade includes performances by the marching bands from each school district in the two counties, giving them a chance to showcase their new musical routines.

This year, the Athens Area High School Marching Wildcats kicked things off with a show titled “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” featuring a selection of music from the movie of the same name.

The Canton Warriors Marching Band’s 2025 show is called “Music from Around the World” and includes tunes by ABBA, Santana, and Miley Cyrus.

The performance from the Northeast Bradford Marching Panther Band, titled “Superheroes – Every Hero Has A Song, We Play Them All,” featured iconic scores from Superman, Batman, and The Avengers.

The Sayre High School Marching Redskins’ 2025 show is called “A Day in the Life,” including Avichii’s “Wake Me Up,” Paramore’s “Ain’t it Fun,” Coldplay’s “Sky full of Stars,” and OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars.”

The Sullivan County Marching Griffins performed a field tune of “High Hopes” by Panic! At the Disco.

The Towanda Black Knight Marching Band presented a show featuring a selection of music by Elton John, including “I’m Still Standing,” “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” and a K-Dette Featurette of Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting).”

The Wyalusing Valley Marching Rams performed its 2025 show titled “Nothing but 90’s,” with music by Blink 182, Nirvana, Green Day, and the Backstreet Boys.

Last, but certainly not least, the Troy Trojan Marching Band performed a show called “Life, Love, & Rock N’ Roll.” The show featured music by Bon Jovi, Journey, and Twisted Sister.

After awards were presented to each band, students were treated to a performance by The Spirit and Pride of Pennsylvania Mansfield University Marching Band. Their 2025 exhibition is themed “Queens of Pop” and includes songs by Queen, Madonna, Beyonce, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, and ABBA.
