Troy Hospital Hosts Ceremony To Remember Local Loved Ones
The Guthrie Troy Community Hospital Auxiliary held its annual Remembrance Tree ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in the hospital’s lobby. The event featured a message on the meaning of Christmas, the singing of hymns, and a moment to honor the memory of local loved ones.
The Troy Community Hospital Auxiliary met with hospital staff, patients, and members of the community on Tuesday to recognize the loved ones honored on the hospital’s 2024 Remembrance Tree. After a Christmas sermon from John Foulkrod and the singing of traditional Christmas carols, the names recorded in the hospital’s Book of Honor were read aloud for all to hear.
The personalized name tags displayed on the tree were purchased by the loved ones of those that they honor. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Guthrie Troy Community Hospital Auxiliary Fund.
