Troy Community Walks for a Purpose
So many heartfelt memories were made at the in-person Walk For A Purpose event at Alparon Park this past Saturday, October 4th. Loved ones lost to the battle of breast cancer were honored with a memorial tribute, and breast cancer survivors and fighters took a lap around the park, celebrating their victory and honoring their personal journeys. The entire event was full of love, support, and hope that was almost tangible the moment you stepped into the park.
While the in-person Walk For A Purpose event has already taken place, you can still take steps toward a world without breast cancer.
To sign up to walk virtually, visit www.walkforapurpose.com. In order to track your steps throughout the month of October, click the “Get Involved” tab on the website, select “Walk” in the drop-down menu, and you will be able to register to walk on that page.
To listen to the testimonies of survivors, visit Wiggle 100 Radio’s page on Spotify. Wiggle 100 hosted a 2-day Radiothon in order to help raise funds for bringing Contrast-Enhanced Mammography to the Guthrie Troy Community Hospital. https://open.spotify.com/show/12BWTnMX7qc0aADTxmAnXs?si=Gm0piZUPQZuQFuyr2BO07g
