Trojans Run Wild: Troy Overpowers Canton in 86–17 Blowout
The Troy Trojans put on a dominant performance Tuesday night, overwhelming the Canton Warriors from the opening tip and cruising to an emphatic 86–17 victory.
From start to finish, Troy controlled every facet of the game, setting the tone early with crisp ball movement and relentless pressure on both ends of the floor. Trey Teribury helped spark the offense, finding Josiah Pesesky for an easy bucket to get the Trojans rolling.
Troy quickly turned the game into a rout late in the first quarter. Landon Cole worked the ball to the top of the key, where James Roy drained a three-pointer to close the period with the Trojans firmly in command, 34–2.
The onslaught continued into the second quarter as Troy showed no signs of slowing down. Cole attacked the basket, and Aidan Lawrence was there to clean up inside, sending the Trojans into the locker room with a commanding 57–6 halftime lead.
In the third quarter, Troy continued to showcase its depth and unselfish play. Cole delivered a pinpoint pass to Pryor Teribury, who finished strong along the baseline to push the lead to 72–15.
The Trojans dominated the paint throughout the night and never let up, closing out the contest with an 86–17 final score.
Troy will be back in action tomorrow night as they host Northeast Bradford. Canton will look to rebound as they travel to North Penn-Mansfield.
