Trojans Decimate Black Knights On Homecoming, 56-13
It was homecoming in Troy last Friday, September 20th and the Trojans hosted the Towanda Black Knights at Alperon Park, walking away with a 56-13 victory.
The Trojans started their scoring game late in the first quarter with a strong drive to the goal line. Then, from the one-yard line, Evan Woodward called his own number and rumbled his way through the defense for the score. The kick was good, with the Trojans starting off 7-0.
Their second score came in the second quarter from Brenden Gilliland to make it 14-0 after the extra point.
Gilliland scored again not long after as he took the ball from the Trojans own 16-yard line for an 84 yard run to make it 21-0. The Trojans scored twice more before halftime, making it 35-0.
The Trojan scoring streak continued throughout the rest of the game, putting up 56 in total for Troy, while the Black Knights avoided the shutout with two touchdowns of their own.
The Trojans will be back on the field traveling to Wyalusing this Friday to face the Rams.
