On Wednesday, September 11th the Wellsboro Lady Hornets tennis team hosted the Towanda Lady Black Knights at Packer Park in Wellsboro.

In first singles, Towanda’s Lainey Alderfur beat Wellsboro’s Olivia Gage, 6-2, 6-4.
In second singles, Towanda’s Nadia Alderfur beat Wellsboro’s Carys Barlett, 7-5, 6-3.
And in third singles, Towanda’s Evelyn Wetherbee defeated Wellsboro’s Emma Ackley, 6-2, 6-1.
In first doubles, Wellsboro’s Piper Andrew and Rowan Butters defeated Towanda’s Jayden Conklin and Maddy Blanchard 6-1, 6-3.
And in second doubles, Wellsboro’s Kyleigh Lynn and Angie Cory defeated Towanda’s Jenalee Coe and Dalita Vega, 6-4, 6-3. Towanda’s singles victories gave them the night with final score of 3-2, Black Knights.
The Lady Hornets will be back on the road today at Muncy.
