Tours of Goodhart’s Inn on Central will be Friday, December 11th from 4pm-8pm, Saturday, December 12th from 10am-8pm, and Sunday, December 13th from 10am-2pm. Hot chocolate and candy canes will be available. Please remember to wear a mask and social distance while on the tour.

Built in 1872, this unique Victorian home is filled with old-fashioned charm and beautiful antiques to transport you back to a simpler time. Each treasured piece of furniture complements the building’s intricate architecture, truly capturing the romance of the Victorian period. Jeff and Laura Goodhart, co-owners of the inn, have spent the past three years furnishing the home with hundreds of memorabilia from the 1800s. New items are added almost every week. This weekend, they plan to add a full-sized carousel horse!

Six Christmas trees are on display – many displaying a certain theme. The tree in the living room is where you’ll find the famous “Shiny Brites” Glass Ornaments, perfect for this weekend’s Christmas on Main Street celebration.

Four bedrooms are available for guests to rent. The first-floor bedroom houses a queen bed with a hand-carved headboard, another pan chandelier, a walk-in closet with lights, and an old fireplace that has been turned into an additional closet. The attached bathroom includes full amenities (soaps, shampoos, sea salts, lotions, etc.), a personal heater, and a built-in seat inside the shower.

The three bedrooms on the second floor (1 king/2 queen) are rented as one unit, along with the upstairs bathroom. This is a great option for families with grown children or friends who are traveling together.

Jeff and Laura are more than happy to accommodate their guests, and their hospitality is remarkable. They go above and beyond by offering free bikes, kayaks, blankets, picnic baskets (complete with wine glasses, plates, cutting boards, salt and pepper shakers, etc.), hand warmers, 24 types of tea, and snacks throughout the house. They will even shuttle the bikes or kayaks in their truck for a small fee. Jeff and Laura’s hospitality is reflected in their careful attention to detail, and sincere mission to make their guests’ experience one of a kind.
