Tis The Season – Christmas Spectacular!

Blossburg hosts evening of festive fun and holiday music!

by Home Page Staff - December 7, 2018

On Thursday, December 6 the Victoria Theatre in Blossburg, PA hosted the fourth annual ‘Tis the Season event. This year’s theme was “Adventures In Toyland” – inspired by the 1964 TV special, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

The night was filled with a blend of hymns, holiday standards, modern contemporary holiday tunes, and traditional carols – all performed by local talent, with proceeds helping local charities and food pantries.

‘Tis the Season also brings the communities together. “One of the missions of this whole production to begin with to bring a lot of the communities together,” said Director & Organizer, Bill Faughnan. “We have so many things in this day and age that bring us discord and disagreements, that we wanted to create show that brought people together and promote Blossburg businesses.”

According to the performers, and the cheering audience, the night was a smashing success.

“It felt like the whole Blossburg town was here,” said Elizabeth Williams, a singer in the performance.

“They’re just so great,” said audience member, Jim McIntosh. “I saw the first couple shows – I had to come and see this. I looked forward it!”
