Tioga County Flows With “Liquid Gold”

by Havah Simcox - March 17, 2020

What comes out of trees, tastes like sugar and is poured all over your pancakes? Yes, maple syrup! Peeking into the maple syrup making process, you’ll see all of the work that goes into turning sap into a delicious addition to your favorite breakfast meals.

Dale & Melanie Miller, owners of Miller’s Purely Maple have been producing maple products since 1995. Since that time they have created quite a business, averaging 1000 gallons of syrup produced on the farm each season, reaching a goal set for themselves in the early days of their business. The syrup is used to make maple cream, maple candies, maple granola, maple cotton candy, and more!

This coming weekend is the Maple Weekend and Customer Appreciation on March 21st and March 22nd. For more information about this weekend, visit their website here.

This event will not include dining in for a pancake breakfast, but take-out orders will be served so you can enjoy the sweet taste of maple as a part of your visit. Come join the fun from 9am to 4pm March 21-22 at Miller’s Purely Maple located at 2766 Hills Creek Lake Rd. For more information call Miller’s Purely Maple at 570-724-7907, or email them at contact@millersmaple.com or visit their website.
