The Tioga County Fair is showcasing the talents and hard work of local residents alongside its agricultural traditions, with exhibits throughout the fairgrounds featuring everything from quilting, crocheting, knitting and sewing to paintings, photographs, handcrafts and household furnishings.

The Grange Building also highlights the region’s agricultural bounty, with entries including hay and grain, vegetables, fruits and nuts, baked goods, canned and dried products, floral exhibits, maple syrup and other products.

Meanwhile, the livestock barns are filled with exhibitors presenting poultry, rabbits, goats, sheep and dairy and beef cattle, with animals judged on qualities including breed characteristics, structure, presentation and showmanship.

Together, the exhibits and livestock competitions give attendees a look at the creativity, agricultural skill and months of work contributed by exhibitors from throughout the area. Today’s feature spotlights a few of these talented and hard working locals.
