Tioga County 250 Bell Unveiled at the Gate House in Mansfield
The historic Gate House in Mansfield is the proud host of the Tioga County 250th Anniversary bell, part of the “Bells Across PA” initiative to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026. Every county in PA will have a bell decorated by a local artist on display for the year-long celebration.
Mansfield native, Randy Owen, is the artist whose design was chosen for the Tioga County bell. Randy’s design depicts the PA Grand Canyon, our industrial history, Mansfield University and the Wellsboro courthouse. Every town, borough and township is also listed on the bell. Randy’s labor intensive project is completely hand painted and then covered with an industrial clear coating to protect it. The results of this labor of love is a remarkable bell that Tioga County residents can be proud of and enjoy visiting.
