Tigers top Wyalusing Rams, 55-50
On Tuesday, December 12, the North-Penn Mansfield Tigers hosted the Wyalusing Rams for what turned out to be an exciting NTL match up.
The first quarter was a tight one as Wyalusing’s Kasar Cameron cleaned up a deep shot for a tough layup. And Mansfield’s Garrett David fought hard in the paint as he came down with a two. North-Penn lead after the first 14-12.
Second quarter – Tiger’s Jacob Green drained a three from the corner. And Jayden Andrews made almost the exact same shot to give North-Penn a commanding 42-26 lead going into the locker rooms.
Third quarter – The Tigers got started with an early basket from in the paint by Dylan Meyer. But the Rams would start to erase their deficit with a deep three from Jon Morrison. Wyalusing outscored the Tigers 10-6 in the third quarter.
The Rams were almost able to climb back in the fourth, but Mansfield was able to hold them off by a tight margin of 55-50 to claim their first victory of the season. The Tigers will get another home match up this coming Thursday against Canton. Come out and root for your Tigers!
