On Thursday, March 19th, the Towanda Black Knights tennis team hosted the Galeton Tigers.
In singles results, Towanda’s Bailey Poll defeated Corbin Basile in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, and 6-3.
Galeton’s Max Schloegel topped Matrix McCarter in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, and Isaac Miller beat Kellen Colton in two sets, 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles, Galeton duo David Martin and Luke Knisely defeated Emma Ackley and Ethan Lane in two sets, 6-3 and 6-4 and Towanda’s Brody Hennessey and Travyn Lewis topped Ethan Whitten and Xander Gleason two sets 6-1, 6-2.
With their two singles victories and splitting doubles, the Galeton Tigers won the match overall 3-2.
The Tigers will be back in action on March 24th as they host Wellsboro, while the Black Knights are on the road at North Penn Liberty.
