They had a FIELD DAY!

It was fun and games for everyone!

by John Vogt - May 29, 2019

Today on The Home Page Network our youngest Anchors Julianna Vogt and Kayden Pearson along with a number of brand new Home Page correspondents including Shawn Starks, Ashayla Faulkner and Bethany Zuchowski cover field day! What fun!

The end of year Field Day is something both students and teachers look forward to every year. Steve Adams, the Principal of Don Gill & Charlotte Lappla Elementary Schools, said that his favorite thing about Field Day is having the people of our community come out to watch our young children playing. Playing and having fun is very important for kids. And the ability to get outside on a beautiful day on a great facility says a lot about where we love and the people here in Wellsboro.

Elementary Health & Physical Education Teacher Nathan Babcock said that Field Day is a HUGE teamwork effort. Mr. Babcock went on to say how much he appreciates everyone’s help along the way. His favorite part about Field Day is that it gives everyone the change to get outside. The teachers love being out of the building. He also loves our new athletic complex here in Wellsboro and Field Day allows the school to showcase it to community members who may not have the opportunity to come up and see the facility during sporting events.

During the second half of today’s broadcast, Home Page Correspondent Bethany Zachowsky talks with some of the students about what they love most about Field Day.

Wellsboro Area School District would like to thank everyone who helped make Field Day possible.

Thanks for watching The Home Page Network and for supporting our Home Page family of advertisers.
