The East West Legacy

by Drew Patrick - January 13, 2015

“Self-discipline, respect, focus, integrity, and perseverance – these are some of the attributes that East West Karate taught me in my eight years of going from 2001-2009.” says Drew Patrick. This Karate School located in Mansfield, Pennsylvania endeavors to teach kids both the physical benefits, (like self-defense and strength), and the mental benefits (like the attributes previously mentioned) – without the attachment of spiritual beliefs. On Thursday, January 8th Home Page had the opportunity to watch a class session and Drew spoke with Head Instructor, Mr. Bob Pratt.

Mr. Pratt stated that his favorite part of running the school is teaching, and he hopes that students take away the confidence they need to succeed in life. Chris Pratt and Tasha-Mae Pratt, (more affectionately known as Mr. and Mrs. P.J.), echoed his enthusiasm and belief that the most important part is the mental training and seeing improvement is the most rewarding.

Age-ranges for classes at East West Karate span from young kids to adults. If you are interested in enrolling your child or enrolling yourself, call East West Karate at (570) 662-3912.
