Support Local Business On Your Yarn Adventure
Four local yarn shops are planning the first annual Twin Tiers Yarn Crawl to celebrate Local Yarn Store Day on Saturday April 30th, 2022 from 10 am to 6 pm.
Needlecrafters are encouraged to visit all four shops and have their Yarn Crawl Passport stamped to be eligible for a grand prize valued at $400!
The participating shops are: Blossburg Company Store at 224 Main Street, Blossburg Pa., Fiber Arts in the Glen at 315 North Franklin Street, Watkins Glenn, NY., Rabbit Row Yarns & Haberdashery at 38 West Market Street, Corning NY., and Wooly Minded at 91 East Market Street, Corning NY.
The Twin Tiers Yarn Crawl is an event for knitters, crocheters, spinners and weavers to travel from store to store exploring what each has to offer and finding inspiration for new projects.
Each shop is offering unique promotions, meet and greets as well as exclusive fiber products for the festivities.
“As a small business owner, I am excited to participate in this event and meet other fiber artists and those interested in learning to knit, crochet or spin” states Tonya McNamara, owner of the Blossburg Company Store. I am also proud of the renovations we have done to our building and the product that we are providing. We also are offering locally grown wool from Tioga County, Angora/wool blend yarn and other commercially produced yarns from Pennsylvania.
Local Yarn Store Day is an annual yarn shop appreciation day created by The National Needlearts Association (TNNA).
The 2022 LYS Day was organized to show support for small businesses while bringing together a unique community of enthusiasts to drive awareness and celebrate fiber craft.
