The Canton Warriors hosted Wellsboro and Sullivan County for a boys and girls cross country tri-meet on Tuesday, September 15.

In the girls team competition, Sullivan County finished on top, defeating Wellsboro 20-35 and Canton 15-50. Wellsboro also came away with a victory over Canton, winning 15-50.

Sullivan County continued its strong showing in the boys race, defeating Canton 19-36 and Wellsboro 15-40. Canton narrowly edged Wellsboro, 28-32.

In the individual girls results, Lauren Kosek captured first place with a time of 21:00. Zoey Reese finished second at 22:45, followed by Addisyn Templin in third at 22:53.

The boys race saw Calen Sweigart take first place with a time of 17:14. Manuel Halbfoerster finished second at 18:00, while Chase Preston followed closely behind in third at 18:20.

Both local teams will be back in action on September 22. Wellsboro will host Athens, while Canton will travel to CV for a tri-meet against CV and Sayre.
