Students Explore Career Day
On Wednesday, March 22nd, Wellsboro Area High School hosted its first Career Day or “Post High School Career Day.” Businesses, both local and national, came and spoke to students about potential job offers and careers they could pursue. Some of the vendors present were the Wellsboro Post Office, PennDOT, Dominion, and even a Veterinary Chiropractitioner.
Career Day was geared mainly toward students who wanted to pursue the work force instead of college. They also provided many job opportunities, internships, and advice for students going directly into the work force and/or post-college. Teachers thought this was a great opportunity to have businesses come and see what skills the students have acquired.
