STPR 2018 Takes Off!
The 42nd annual Waste Management Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally is here – Friday, June 1 to Saturday, June 2. This year’s event is sanctioned again by the American Rally Association. Racing teams from across the globe, and even our local garages, come together to compete in one of the most challenging racing events in the USA.
A total of 53 teams are on this year’s entry list, including defending champion David Higgins, looking to claim his 8th victory.
STPR launches today at 11:30am, beginning with the parc expose on The Green in downtown Wellsboro. At this expose, drivers and their teams will line up around the green to meet with fans, check over their cars, and prepare for phase 1 of the race. Phase 1 will begin at approximately 2:01pm on Waste Management property. Fans can find a spectator point here. Tickets at $7 per person, cash only.
On Friday night at 7:00pm, teams will compete in the super special stages at the Tioga County Fairgrounds. Tickets here are $5 per person, cash only.
On Saturday, June 2 – another parc expose will be held, starting at 8:00am, with phase 2 beginning at 9:46am. There are a variety of forest spectator points. You can find more information about these locations on STPR.org. The day will finish with super special stages again at the fairgrounds, with the winners podium concluding as provisional scores come in (around 9:45).
