Stay Fit & Healthy with 365 Fitness

by Sara Vogt - September 17, 2021

On today’s broadcast, Home Page Vice-President Sara Vogt met with Dr. Lisa Bull and Austin Dunham at the new 365 Fitness here in Wellsboro to discuss health and wellness.

Dr. Lisa touched on some simple ways to boost our immune systems and become healthier; eating fruits and vegetables, decreasing sugar in our daily meals, stepping outside in the sunshine to increase our vitamin D levels.

She mentioned that stress could hinder our immune systems from having the strength to keep viruses at bay. She chooses to exercise, which reduces stress by releasing levels of the body’s stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol. It also stimulates the production of endorphins, chemicals in the brain that are the body’s natural painkillers and mood elevators.

Certified Personal Trainer Austin Dunham is the manager of 365 Fitness. He shared his journey of losing 102 pounds in 8 months. Combining exercise with a healthy diet is more effective in losing weight than depending on calorie restriction alone. Austin tells us that is what he did to lose weight. If you need encouragement to lose weight, Austin is passionate and excited to share his success with you as well.

Four businesses will celebrate together on October 23 with an Open House: 365 Fitness, Mountain Life Cycling Studio, Arise Cafe, and Carol’s Beauty and Glow Salon.

The day will begin at 10 am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and conclude at 3 pm. Each business will be giving away surprises, and 365 Fitness joins in by giving away a one-year membership and waving the $50 start-up fee for all new members.

They will continue to monitor the Covid situation through the coming months, but the plan is in full swing for now!
