Sport Previews – Girls Soccer Kickin’ It!
Today wraps up our fall sport previews with the Wellsboro girls soccer team. The Hornets finished the 2014 season with a 11-6-1 record and a District IV playoff berth which ended in the first round at the hands of South Williamsport.
The Lady Hornets lost five members from last year’s team including second leading scorer Lauren Bleggi and All-State defender Emilie Kramer. The year, however, the Hornets return nine seniors including last year’s leading scorer Sarah Ingerick.
The Hornets are led again this year by Mike Hotchkiss who is in his third year (19-15-2) as head coach. Wellsboro opens their season on Wednesday, September 9 at Sayre at 5:30 p.m.
