In December of 2024 the Troy Trojans football team claimed the PIAA Class AA State Championship, becoming the first team in Northern Tier League history to make the accomplishment. They concluded the season with 16 wins and 0 losses, an unprecedented success – putting Troy on the map and establishing their program as a force to be reckoned with, led by head coach Jim Smith and his staff of both paid coaches and volunteers.
