Ski Sawmill Race Club Invites New Racers!
It’s that time of year again, and Ski Sawmill Race Club is looking for new members.
They have two tiers of enrollment. One is for kids who want to travel and compete, but they also have a tier for those that just want to train at Sawmill.
If you’re looking to get better at skiing and want to learn how to race slalom and giant slalom, contact them on Facebook, or stop by CS Sports in Wellsboro to speak with Curt Schramm. Joining the race team is a great way to become a better skier on a small mountain without much challenging terrain.
They do skill building drills, and course training with a high coach-to-athlete ratio so that each athlete is getting training suited to their needs and skill level.
They accept kids ages 10+ and require they be able put their skis on, on a steep side hill, and maintain parallel skis from top to bottom.
The Ski Sawmill Race Club is sanctioned by USSA (U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association), and PARA (Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association), and compete all over the state, with the majority of races being in central PA.
