SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Brynn Woodruff
Towanda senior Brynn Woodruff led the Lady Knights basketball team with 12.1 ppg this season, and put up an impressive 6.0 rpg and 2.1 spg. She also took 14 charges this season and has drawn 46 charges in her career — a record for Towanda.
Coach Rob Gentile noted that the charges Woodruff has taken is her most impressive stat in his opinion, as “it shows how much a player cares about their team when they are willing to sacrifice their body repeatedly for them.”
Home Page Correspondent Erik Berggren met with Woodruff earlier in the year to go “Around the Paint” and learn a little more about her, both on and off the court.
Woodruff ended her high school basketball career with 1,093 career points and 722 career rebounds. The team’s overall record in Woodruff’s four year career was 62-38.
