Schools Across Nation Remember…

by Home Page Staff - September 11, 2015

“14 years ago, this nation came under attack as members of Al-Qaeda used planes to target key economic and government buildings in an attempt to cripple our great nation. Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks. As chaos occurred, men and women of fire departments and police forces (as well as countless other volunteers) ran toward danger to protect and save those involved. Our country remains strong in the face of such devastating events and unified to a common cause as “one nation, under God.” We take a moment today to remember the lives of those who were lost or injured that day in both the attack and rescue effort. September 11th will forever remain Patriot Day. At 1:00 PM today – schools, businesses and industries across the USA are standing again in common cause to honor our nation in the singing of our national anthem.”

– Jessica Smith, Student Council Member
