Red Skillet Opens Brick & Mortar
The Red Skillet has just moved from food truck to brick and mortar!
The Red Skillet started as an idea that Owner Brad Goodwin had. It eventually evolved from an idea to a seasonal mobile eatery that worked with local farms, businesses, and the environment the best they could. From there, they were planted in both Wellsboro and Mansfield and also had grab n go items in local businesses. They were able to branch out in their catering business, and are still currently doing “Full-Service Catering” and “Drop-Off Catering” as well.
They did, however, begin to outgrow their 7×14 space, and they knew it was time for a change. The idea of the Red Skillet moving into brick and mortar had been lying around for a couple of years. Brad began to meet with the Deane Center and finally was able to move into the space on November 1, 2018. He spent most of his winter break building, constructing, and investing in this new adventure.
The Red Skillet is offering various new menu items, along with some of the fantastic food they’ve had for years. They have a new breakfast menu filled with homemade scones, healthy smoothies, a quiche of the day, locally roasted coffee by Conspiracy Coffee, and much more. They also have new sandwiches, soups, and of course, their fries are out of this world! The most exciting thing coming up is that the Red Skillet will be opening their very own Bistro along with their bar very soon! They’re very excited and are planning to bring something that Wellsboro has never seen before.
If you want to know more about the Red Skillet, visit http://www.redskillet.net or call at 570-787-4545. Their hours are from Monday through Saturday, from 8 am to 6 pm. Lunch hours are from 10:30 am to 6 pm. (Hours will change once the Bistro launches!)
