Reassessment Protestors Gather, Commissioner Coolidge Responds
Under Pennsylvania Consolidated County Assessment Law, Tioga County has now completed a reassessment of all real property effective January 1, 2024. On Friday, May 19, area residents assembled on The Green in Wellsboro to express concerns and sign petitions requesting no new taxes. Several citizens spoke with HPN News, and County Commissioner Erick Coolidge joined the protesters to address the reassessment from his perspective.
