At 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, Rael – The Music of Genesis tribute band will take the stage in the Coolidge Theatre at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro.
The five members of Rael will perform the early music of the legendary band Genesis, the most groundbreaking and influential band in the progressive rock genre, and hit singles by Peter Gabriel who left Genesis in 1975 and launched his successful solo career with “Solsbury Hill.”
Rael includes lead vocalist Lloyd Gold on flute; Michael LaBuono on keyboards; and backing vocalists Mike Belmonte on bass and bass pedals, Paul Sheehan on drums and cymbals, and Sal Locascio on guitars.
Based in New York and Northern New Jersey, Rael is focused on faithfully reproducing full album versions from the Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett days of Genesis in the 1970s and recaptures the energy and originality of the “early years” of live stage performances.
Rael performances include tracks from Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and A Trick of the Tail.
Admission is $25. The concert is BYOB with audience members encouraged to bring their favorite snacks and beverages and sit at a table with family and friends.
For tickets and to reserve a table, call the Deane Center at (570) 724-6220 or visit deanecenter.com. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the show.
