Police Chief Cautions Back-To-School Traffic, Highlights Problem Areas

by Rhonda Pearson - Augst 19, 2021

It is that time of year again! New school clothes, supplies, backpacks, crossing guards, buses and…traffic jams? That first week of school can be a learning experience for all involved; kids learning new faces, teachers, and routines while parents familiarize themselves with all the school drop-off and pick-up points.

Today, Wellsboro Police Department Chief Jim Bodine discusses back-to-school safety for the first week of school, specifically dealing with the traffic, crossing guards and kids. This broadcast features traffic patterns, crossing guard locations and the do’s and don’ts of where to park when taking you little ones in for their first day of kindergarten at Charlotte Lappla and Don Gill elementary schools.

If you are unsure about drop off and pick up locations or any other questions….reach out to the schools at the following numbers:
Charlotte Lappla Elementary: 570-724-1941
Don Gill Elementary: 570-724-1811
