People of Honor

by John Vogt - May 21, 2019

On today’s broadcast, we have the honor of speaking with Film Producer and Director Gale Largey, Best Selling Author Michael Capuzzo and his beautiful wife Teresa Capuzzo who is the Editor, and Publisher the outstanding Mountain Home Magazine. Mountain Home Magazine launched in 2005 and has gone on to win one hundred and twenty awards. Mountain Home covers the Pennsylvania Northern Tier and the New York Finger Lakes with more than 100,000 readers. Congratulations!

Gale Largey was a professor at Mansfield University for 35 years. He has produced a number of documentaries including one on the famous Austin Dam Disaster. Gale Largey is greatly appreciated for his historical work and helping us all remember and honor those who have gone before us. Home Page has had the privilege of working with film producer Gale Largey in the past promoting his film THE LESSONS OF SISTER VICTORIA.

What brings us together on today’s broadcast is the joint promotional efforts for the PEOPLE OF HONOR film presentation by director Gale Largey. Mountain Home Magazine, KC101 Radio, and The Home Page Network have come together to sponsor this special event.

This unique and important film honoring THE GREATEST GENERATION will be presented at 7:30 PM on May 24th at the Deane Center in Wellsboro. Film producer and director Gale Largey will be making this presentation and Home Page cameras will be there to capture this historical event and talk with the people who attend.

Admission is Free – All donations will go to Goodies for Our Troops in Wellsboro, PA who has been serving our troops since 2005.

An important component of the evening will be telling the story of how our Tioga County Heros helped win WWII. Please help us get the word out to area Veterans and their families about this event and encourage them to attend. CANYON COUNTRY CABS and the Oldham family have very generously donated their bus that has hook-ups for 2 wheelchairs PLUS room for another 14 passengers to pick up VETERANS and their families who cannot drive after dark or don’t have a car, bring them to the Deane Center for the documentary and reception, and then take them home. Reservations must be made on a FIRST COME/FIRST SERVED basis by calling 570-662-5601 or emailing goodies@ptd.net.
Businesses in the area are being very generous in donating food and beverages for the reception following the film.
Goodies For Our Troops is very grateful to all for making this event possible.

Mountain Home Magazine has done a special story on this film and it’s creator Gale Largey. It’s available now at newsstands throughout the region. Remember to pick up your free copy today and mark your calendars to join us at the Deane Center on May 24th.

For special seating for Veterans and their families please call 570-724-6220. And, please help us get the word out about this important evening. This is not just a time of reminiscing. Gale Largey states clearly on today’s broadcast that this film was also produced for today’s families and carries with it an important message to this next generation. Gale strongly encourages young people to attend to see the sacrifices that a generation has made on their behalf and for generations to follow.

Please take a few moments to watch today’s feature and remember PEOPLE OF HONOR – THE GREATEST GENERATION presented by Gale Largey takes place at the Deane Center Friday, May 24th at 7:30 PM.
