Tioga and Potter Counties are two of the most beautiful places on this earth. The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon draws people from all over the world. And, there is so much to enjoy here from the theater and fine arts to white-water rafting and snowboarding.
The fishing in Pine Creek, which runs through the bottom of the Grand Canyon, is terrific. You also have numerous lakes for fishing, boating, water skiing, canoeing, and more. Golfing at one of our premier golf courses presents some of the most stunning views in the world.
There is such a wide variety of things to enjoy here like rail-trail adventures through the mountains, STPR Rally, Dickens of a Christmas, the famous Laurel Festival in Wellsboro, the Blossburg Fall Festival, Christmas on Main Street, Home for the Holidays, the Tioga Central Railroad, and so much more.
Our regional schools are excellent, and the Medical facilities at Laurel Health Centers and UPMC Susquehanna are outstanding. Our region is a fantastic place for retirement and an even better place to raise a family. The area is not only beautiful; it’s safe. The crime rate in our region is next to nothing. For example, we not only have outstanding citizens; we have an exceptional Police Department in Wellsboro. A person’s chances of becoming a victim of crime in Wellsboro, PA is one in 108.
If you are wondering what life is like in this region, we have included a number of broadcasts in the right-hand column on this page to give you an accurate picture. People in New York City, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and many other large metro areas work really hard, killing themselves to try to obtain what the people in our region already have – breathtaking beauty and peace.
