Peaceful Protests Held In Wellsboro

by Andrew Moore / John Vogt - August 6, 2021

On Friday, August 6th a peaceful protest was held in front of the Tioga County Courthouse in Wellsboro Pennsylvania. Many viewpoints were expressed at the gathering, with the focal point addressing voting machines.

“We don’t believe we should be using voting machines,” said protestor and spokesperson Johnny Berguson. “For hundreds of years, we’ve been using paper ballots. Let’s get rid of all the arguments. We would also like our county commissioners to come out and say that they will comply with any subpoenas they receive.”

However, not all who attended the protest were in favor of this stance. Counter-protestors also peacefully expressed their statements.

HPN News reached out to our Tioga County commissioners and solicitor Christopher Gabriel for comment, but we were not able to get a statement from them today. We hope to hear from them soon.
