Panthers Shut Out Sayre, 35-0
The North Penn-Mansfield Panthers shutout the Sayre redskins 35-0 last Friday, August 30th.
Late in the first quarter, after some back and fourth, the Panthers found themselves in the red zone. Then Cooper Shaw called his own number and slammed his way across the line of scrimmage into the end zone.
Next, 4 minutes into the second quarter, the Panthers once again in a great position to score, Shaw hit the outside and raced for the pylon – touchdown Panthers! The point-after-attempt was good, putting the Panthers up 14-0.
With time ticking down in the first half, lined up on the 10, Shaw found Luke Kroger wide open in the corner of the end zone – giving the Panthers a comfortable 3 touchdown lead going into halftime.
In the third quarter George Perry received the handoff and rumbled his way up the middle for another Panther touchdown.
Finally, in the fourth quarter – from the red zone, Riley Oaks in motion received the handoff and hit the left lane for the final Panther touchdown. The game ended with a shutout victory for the Panthers, 35-0.
The Panthers are on the road to Towanda next week to face the Black Knights.
