Over 100 Vendors Arrive in Town!

by Corrin Binford - June 20, 2014

Today on Wellsboro Home Page we continue our coverage of the 73rd Annual Laurel Festival.

The queens will be arriving at the Penn Wells Hotel this morning at 9:30. They will begin touring the The Green, the Grand Canyon and will the finish the night with the queens preview and concert at the Wellsboro High School Auditorium. Spectators began preparing yesterday for this weekend’s parade by setting up chairs several days in advance to reserve the best spots. However, the spectators aren’t the only ones preparing. The Juried Arts and Crafts Fair vendors began setting up their exhibits yesterday.

Over 100 artisans, (25 of which are new to the Laurel Festival), will offer a variety of homemade wares. Handmade candles, glass blown ornaments and leather chests are just a few examples of the unique items exhibited on the Green. The festival will offer entertainment, activities, shopping and – of course – food! Homemade sticky buns, fresh fruit, gyros, Italian sausage and much more will be available for lunch & dinner.

For more information regarding the Laurel Festival please contact the Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce.
