North Penn-Liberty falls to Cougars in State Semifinals
On Friday, March 7th, the North Penn-Liberty boys basketball team hosted the Lancaster Country Day Cougars in the PIAA Class A state quarterfinals.
Both teams fired back and forth in the first, with the Cougars leading by just four points, 14-10.
In the second quarter, the Cougar defense shut down the Mounties, going into the locker room on top, 29-14.
In the third quarter the Mountie offense rallied. Kickstarting their offense again, but the Cougar offense outpaced, maintaining their lead 49-33.
In the fourth quarter the Mounties proved they weren’t out yet. Both teams kept to the grindstone, however Lancaster Country Day’s lead couldn’t be overtaken, moving the Cougars on to the semi-finals with a final score 57-46.
