NCA – Kindergarten & Pre-K Programs

Training Children in Spirit, Mind, and Body

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 12, 2019

New Covenant Academy (NCA) in Mansfield, PA has extensive Pre-K and Kindergarten education programs. New Covenant Academy is a Christian school, offering Pre-K through 12th grade enrollment. The school is located right in Mansfield, PA and offers school bus transportation within most area school districts. The Pre-K and Kindergarten programs have small settings with individualized attention for students best educational development.

The Kindergarten program is led by Mrs. Brenda Colegrove, a graduate of Mansfield University, who also leads the elementary music program at NCA. The program offers a three or five-day Kindergarten option. Many parents are interested in the program because it offers a more gradual three day start to transition into school. Kindergarten screenings are available for appointment throughout the summer, as well as a tour of the school.

The Kindergarten program is full of projects, academics and fun. They work through many workbooks, learning the pledge, numbers, letters & sounds, recess, lunch and snacks, and much, much more! The class also serves the local community with a service project. The kids get out many times throughout the year to serve their project. The small class size allows for more specialized projects and a strong educational development. The small class size also allows time for students to get to know God as the bible is integrated throughout the program and throughout the day.

The Pre-K school program has 2-5 day options. Students participate in a weekly chapel and worship with the school, take on their own service project for the community and find many ways to get involved in learning simple tasks, shapes, colors and numbers, and all the preparatory educational pieces in readying for Kindergarten.

Mrs. Linda Wilson, the Pre-K teacher for over 20 years at NCA, has a flexible program that is adjusted to meet the needs of each student that enters the program. Every holiday the children has specific projects. For example, in the spring, the kids learn to identify birds and bugs and make a book to remember these attributes. This year, the kids packed bus bags for 50+ children in the Victory Church ministry seven different times.

NCA is open Mon-Friday from 8AM – 1PM throughout the summer and students who are interested in attending are welcome to call and schedule a tour at any time (570-662-2996). The small school setting allows for family and parent involvement and a personalized approach to educating our children. For more information, you can visit www.ncalions.org.
