Mounties Soccer Tops Galeton, 3-1

The North Penn-Liberty Mounties soccer team hosted the Galeton Tigers on Wednesday, September 11.

The Mounties took the scoreboard first as Aladen Jackson sent the ball from the midfield to Caiden Alexander for the score. North Penn-Liberty led 1-0 at the half.

Second half. The Mounties’ Kevin Alexander outmaneuvered his defender to assist Derek Litzleman for their second score, making it 2-0, Mounties.

North Penn-Liberty scored their third and final goal of the game as Litzleman found the shot wide open off a Zachary Hoffman assist.

With 7:25 left in the game, the Tigers avoided a shutout by scoring off a penalty kick by Jake Cochran.

The Mounties took the win, 3-1.

North Penn-Liberty will be back on the field again on September 14 as they face off against Troy.
