Mountie Wrestlers tackle Trojans, 40-34
On Tuesday, January 7th the North Penn-Liberty Mounties wrestling team hosted the Troy Trojans.
Weighing in at 139, Marrus Frisbie won by forfeit.
At 145 Logan Heasley pinned Terrell Rinebold in the second period.
At 152, Carter Austin won by forfeit.
At 160, Riley Oakes pinned Bridon Putnam at 1:53 in the first.
At 172, Easton Pequignot won by forfeit.
At 189, Rylan Breidt pinned Ryan Roupp in 1:26.
At 215, Kael Millard defeated Braden Route by decision, 14-6.
At 285, Reed Palmer pinned Caden Prisbrey at 2:54 in the second.
At 107, Bodhi Nickerson won by major decision over Garrett Parks, 11-2.
At 114, Bryce Pequignot pinned Connor Dibble.
At 121, Aivan Whitteker won by forfeit.
At 127, Charles Amick won by forfeit.
And finally, at 133 – to break the tie – Brayden Pequignot secured the match for the Mounties, pinning Keagan Kerr. The Mounties come out on top 40-34.
Troy will traveling to Athens on January 9th to wrangle the Wildcats, with the Mounties also at Athens the following week on January 16th.
