More Than Just a Library
Reformed in 1946, the Blossburg Memorial Library has been doing its best to serve and help the community in every way possible. It is a great place to come in, read a book, play on the computer, or even learn how to knit a scarf! Some may not know, but it’s free to open a library account. This will give you access to thousands of books in the library, as well as online. They don’t just offer books either; you can borrow movies, audiobooks, and so much more.
Since October of 2017, the Memorial Library has been participating in the “turning outward” approach towards making decisions about library services and resources. The main goal of the Turning Outward initiative is creating a more lively, outward-looking culture among libraries. They will be focusing on developing a more outward-turned staff in order to create strategies to make the library more relevant to the community. Also, it instills a more outward and vibrant culture.
They are open Monday through Thursday 12-7 PM, Friday 12-5 PM and Saturday 9-12 PM.
