Miss Wellsboro Regan Regina was crowned the 2022 Laurel Festival Queen at the coronation ceremony held on Saturday evening, June 18. She was also named Miss Congeniality as voted by the other candidates. Miss Montoursville, Ruby Muse, was named second runner-up. Miss Central Mountain Ashley Rich was named first runner-up.

The masters of ceremony for the evening were Mark Hamilton and Ken VanSant. The judges were Renata Stiehl of WENY-TV, Jake Michaels of WBZD-FM 93.3, and David Cohick and Marti Shabloski of Tioga County Emergency Services.

The queens proceeded into the Coolidge Theater in the Deane Center and the ten finalists were announced. Next each of the finalists were given an impromptu question to which to respond. Shortly after, the judges convened to deliberate. Following a short intermission, awards were given.

Miss Wellsboro Regan Regina is the recipient of a $3,000 educational scholarship. Her future plans are to attend Penn State University for Aerospace Engineering.
