The following is a message to our community from Dawn Pletcher & Goodies For Our Troops:

May is Military Appreciation Month, and on March 6, 7, and 8 from 1 til 5 PM at 87 Main at Crafton Street, Wellsboro PA 16901, we are asking folks to open their hearts and wallets and loan us their helping hands as we package goodies in preparation for our MILITARY APPRECIATION CARE PACKAGES!

Thanks to all of your generous support and prayers, Goodies For Our Troops care packages will show our heroes (in a concrete way) how much their sacrifices for us are appreciated.

This month we particularly need eye drops; sunscreen lotion; Skin-So-Soft lotion; aloe-vera burn lotion; non-aerosol bug repellent; foot and body powder; and freezer pops in addition to our standard items, as well as funds for postage. No donation is too small – whether a batch of homemade cookies or fudge, a pack of M&Ms or gum, a tube of toothpaste, a cent or more for postage, and/or a half hour or more of your time – it all adds up and is sincerely appreciated by our heroes.

If you know anyone who is deployed overseas or on board ships or submarines, please email name, address, and country where deployed to goodies@ptd.net so we can add him/her to our list and send him/her frequent care packages from the Twin Tiers.
