Memories That Last a Life Time

Don't miss the 137th Wellsboro High School Alumni Banquet!

by Corrin Binford - May 20, 2014

The Wellsboro High School Alumni Association will host the annual Alumni Banquet on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 5 p.m. The Alumni Association was formed in 1867, and has been holding the annual banquet for 137 years. If your graduation year ends with a 4 or 9, you are invited to attend this year’s banquet.

The banquet will begin with alumni gathered in classrooms to reunite with classmates. This will be followed by a catered dinner prepared by Harland’s Family Restaurant & Catering at 6:30 in the gym. “The Times of Our Lives” program will include recognition of the agents, the presentation of the Alumnus of the Year Award, and reflection speeches from the 50th Anniversary Class, the 25th Anniversary Class and the Senior Class President Alexis Whittle Response. The Alumni Association will also be presenting scholarships to the graduating seniors.

The Alumni Council for 2014 includes: President Robert J. Blair (1967), Vice President R.Lowell Coolidge (1958), Agents Liaison Joan Spencer Hart (1954), Treasurer Majorie Mudge Wetherbee (1955), Registrar Julia A. Sticklin (1981), Sarah A. Bull (2008), Historian/ Secretary Lawrence West (1984) and newest Council member Kelly Wetherbee (1984).

All banquet attendees must have a dinner ticket. Pre-registered attendees will receive their tickets from their class agent in their classrooms. Non-registered walk-ins must purchase their ticket at the registration table. One name will be drawn to win a $100 gift card.

For more information about Saturday’s banquet you can contact Marge Mudge Wetherbee at (570) 724-7689 or at marge356@ptd.net or Robert J Blair at (570) 724-5343 or at blair@tcdc-pa.org.
