Who is the mayor of Wellsboro, PA and what does he do? Do you know the answers to these questions? Today on Wellsboro Home Page we have the opportunity to meet the mayor. We hope you will take a few minutes to watch today’s special feature and personal profile.

John Wheeler is the mayor of Wellsboro. One of the responsibilities that that Mayor Wheeler has is to oversee the operations of our Wellsboro Police Department.

“[We have] a good police department, good officers – an excellent police chief, Jim Bodine,” says Mayor Wheeler. “He’s a good man.”

Mayor Wheeler attends all of the regular council meetings and has also presided over one hundred weddings and considers it one of the highlights of his job.

“I think the weddings are fun and interesting,” He remarks. “We have some good times doing them and some funny things happen. One was on a wagon ride down through the canyon. But I also enjoy the meetings and going to the seminars.”

We hope you will enjoy today’s broadcast feature as we take a closer look at the mayor of Wellsboro.
